‘Maritime Madness’ pro wrestling coming to Yarmouth

A pair of Yarmouth talents will be in the ring at Mariners Centre this weekend.

Maritime Madness pro-wrestling returns to the arena this Saturday night.

Andrew Love, who now resides in Yarmouth, will defend his championship against Covey Christ in the main event.

Organizer Randy Muise says it’s going to be a great show.

“We’ll have veteran wrestlers like former WWE Superstar Robbie MacAllister and ‘Moondog’ Dylan Davis. We’ll also feature many up and coming wrestlers, it’s going to be a good time,” said Muise.

His daughter Abby Muise, one of two female referees on the Atlantic circuit, will be officiating each match.

Muise says every time a show comes to town, it’s a throwback to the Grand Prix wrestling days.

“That’s how I got hooked as a kid, with Atlantic Grand Prix wrestling. A lot of these wrestlers are a product of those days, and grew up watching it too.”

He says wrestling has a lot of tradition in Yarmouth, Digby and Shelburne counties.
