Arthur Street from Highway 61 to Mountdale Avenue will be partially closed beginning Tuesday evening for pavement resurfacing work.

A release from the city states the work will involve partially removing the current asphalt pavement and placing two new lifts of asphalt.

The work is being done in phases, similar to how the city tackled resurfacing on Central Avenue.

Phase one eastbound lanes will be closed permitting only westbound traffic, this is expected to take two to three days to complete.

Phase two will swap the permitted traffic to eastbound only, and like phase one work is expected to take two to three days to complete.

Phase three and phase four will repeat the first two respective phases, however will only take two days to complete.

All work will be completed between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Motorists are asked to use caution while driving through the construction zone.
