Aboiteau Beach, located in the Regional Town of Cap-Acadie is the first beach in Eastern Canada to receive the “Rainbow Registered” certification.

The “Rainbow Registered” designation was awarded to Aboiteau Beach in recognition of its workplace policies that address diversity and inclusion, its support for the 2ELGBTQIA+
community, and the standards in place to ensure that staff continue to be trained and educated.

“It’s important to us to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all our visitors,” said Cap-Acadie Mayor Serge Léger. ”

Rainbow Registered is a national certification for 2ELGBTQIA+-friendly businesses and organizations and is a friendly and safe space.

“Aboiteau Beach has always been forward-thinking. Blue Flag designation in 2018 and now Rainbow Registred certification in 2023 positions our tourist attraction as an industry leader,”
said Justin LeBlanc, Director of Economic Development and Tourism at Cap-Acadie.
