Efforts to find a new operator for the Kettle Falls Hotel in Voyageurs National Park have come up empty.

The U.S. National Park Service put out a call for a new operator in February but received no proposals.

It is now reviewing its options.

The Park says operations will continue uninterrupted this year as the current contract does not expire until the end of this year.

The hotel was constructed in 1913 and acquired by the Williams family a few years later.

The Park Service took over the facility in the late 1970s and made updates to the building a decade later.

The Kettle Falls Hotel and Villas is the only lodging within Voyageurs National Park and is only accessible by water.
