Charges have now been laid against a man in connection to an weapons call on the Reddit Road Tuesday.

The incident kicked off around 11-30 that morning when police responded to reports of a man pointing a firearm on Highway 658 near Jack Lake.

The Emergency Response Team was activated and through a search of the area a 64 year old man was taken into custody.

He faces several charges including 2 counts each of pointing a firearm, uttering threats, and firearm use while committing an offence, he was also charged with careless use of a firearm.

He’s been remanded into custody and will appear in a Kenora court at a later date.
