Traffic lights installed at troublesome Logan Road and Highway 325 intersection

The intersection between Highway 325 and Logan Road in Wileville has long been known as collision-prone and after years of appeals work began on Wednesday installing a new set of traffic lights.

Prior to the lights being installed, motorists traveling on Logan Road southbound would come to a stop sign and then have to turn onto the busy section of Highway 325 which is just a few hundred meters from the nearest access to Highway 103.

Logan Road is also a common route for transport trucks as it has a Petro-Canada Card Lock gas station, and is en route to the Bridgewater Michelin facility, adding to the number of large vehicles traveling through the intersection.

Crews are expected to be on site for most of Wednesday for the installation and traffic is limited to one lane, so expect delays while the work is ongoing.

Logan Road changes into William Wile Road south of Highway 325 and motorists traveling northbound on it into the intersection also came to a stop sign prior to the lights installation.
