Following the discovery of 7 new fires between Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon the region now sits at 21 active forest fires.

Eight are listed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry as under control, two are being held, four are being observed and two were snuffed out quick by initial attack crews.

However the rest are considered out of control.

The fire hazard has shifted once again moving to to predominantly high with patches of moderate and extreme across much of the North.
