An incident involving a suspicious motorist asking youths if they wanted a ride to a nearby liquor store is under investigation by city police.

The interaction occurred on Sunday around 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon, when the driver pulled up to a youth on Arthur Street West and asked them if they wanted to go to the LCBO.

The driver, described as an older white male, asked several times but each offer was declined.

Officers were unable to located the vehicle initially, but a follow up investigation has led them to identify a potential driver.

They are currently in the process of making contact with that person to further the investigation.
