The OPP had a heavy police presence on a normally quiet stretch of the Redditt Road near Jack Lake Tuesday afternoon.

Officers were called around 12:20 in the afternoon to a home just off Highway 658.

The OPP responded with the Emergency Response team and a K-9 unit.

Initially the highway was closed for just over an hour, but it has since been reopened.

Police say there was a confrontation with a weapon and one person has been taken in custody.

Just one police cruiser remains on the scene.
