The newly revamped McLeod Park is going to be officially opened this Friday.

The park, across from Husky the Musky, has undergone significant changes over the past year.

A playground, and picnic area have been added along with improvements to the bathrooms.

The project cost about $950,000 and funding came from the federal government, the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund and Kenora’s Municipal Accommodation Tax.

The City of Kenora also chipped in funding for the project.

The ribbon cutting will take place at 10:00 Friday morning.
