100 years of the Cenotaph in downtown Yarmouth.
The bronze statue on top of the Yarmouth War Memorial will be re-dedicated in a ceremony this Friday.
Thousands were in attendance in 1923 for the unveiling.
Andre Boudreau with the Wedgeport Legion says it will be a special day.
“At 11 o’clock, there will be a Remembrance service. It will go over the speech and what happened on that day 100 years ago,” said Boudreau.
Main Street will be closed from Public Lane to Parade Street.
A town hall for veterans will take place Friday evening at the Armouries on Parade Street.
Boudreau says Associate Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs Ken MacKillop will be in attendance.
