Two women have been charged following an incident which sent both of them to hospital with injuries inflicted upon each other.

Thunder Bay Police received a weapons call at the intersection of Highway 61 and Neebing Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

Officers learned one woman had been stabbed and was taken to hospital while they later apprehended the second woman who had fled the scene in the direction of Arthur Street West.

Turns out she too had sustained injuries and was also taken to hospital.

Further investigation revealed both women had been passengers in the same vehicle when an argument got physical, and as a result they assaulted each other, leading to charges against both.

As a result a 43 year old Thunder Bay woman has been charged with:
• Aggravated Assault

Meanwhile a 30 year old woman, also of Thunder Bay, has been charged with:
• Assault with a Weapon
• Uttering Threats – Death or Bodily Harm
• Failure to Comply with Release Order x 2

Both women appeared in court Thursday and were remanded into custody.
