The month of May was both warmer and drier than normal.
Environment Canada says the daily mean temperature last month was 14.7.
That’s over three degrees warmer than usual, which is 11.3 Celcius.
In terms of rain, the Kenora Airport received just 33 millimeters.
That’s about 40 percent less than usual.
The average is 81 millimeters.
For June, Environment Canada is predicting it will be drier than normal, and parts of northwestern Ontario will be warmer than usual.
