A 34 year old Thunder Bay man faces several child exploitation material charges following an investigation by city police.

Members of the Cyber Crime Unit began their investigation in February into a local internet user who was possibly in possession of and making available child pornography.

A number of files were reviewed by investigators and the contents were confirmed to be such material.

Officers were able to identify an address in the Northwood area and a search warrant was obtained and executed in the afternoon of May 16th.

Multiple electronic devices were seized during the search and the man was taken into custody.

He’s been charged with:
• Possession of Child Pornography
• Accessing Child Pornography
• Make Available Child Pornography

He appeared in court today and was remanded into custody.
