Police have finished investigating a suspicious package in downtown Halifax.  The package was not a threat to the public.

Officers responded to the report just before 8:30am in the 1700 block of Hollis Street.

Hollis Street between Duke and Prince Streets as well as George St between Barrington and Hollis Streets were closed as police conducted their investigation.
