After initially being charged with careless driving which caused a four vehicle collision on Highway 11-17 Tuesday evening, a 29 year old from Gull Bay First Nation has had their charges upgraded to careless driving causing bodily harm.

The collision sent one person to hospital via Superior North EMS with what police say are serious but non life threatening injuries.

It caused the closure of the highway for several hours as emergency crews had to extricate some of the victims from their vehicles.

Police are still seeking information regarding this collision and anyone with information is asked to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
