N.S. Sheriff employee charged for identifying teen accused of Charles P. Allen stabbings

An employee of the Nova Scotia Sheriff Services has been charged for allegedly identifying online the name of the teen accused of the stabbings at Charles P. Allen.

Police say in March they were made aware of social media posts where the teen who was charged was believed to be identified, meaning the 30-year-old had breached the publication ban of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

A 15-year-old is facing attempted murder charges after stabbing two staff members, as well as himself, at the High School earlier this year.
