Snowbirds returning to N.B. next month

By Allan Dearing May 23, 2023 | 5:53 AM

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will make their only 2023 appearance in New Brunswick next month in Moncton.

The military aerobatics flight demonstration team will perform over the Petitcodiac River near Bore Park on June 17 and 18 but will be seen throughout Greater Moncton.

More details are expected soon.

The Canadian Forces charity Soldier On is organizing the free airshow to raise awareness about its support for injured soldiers and veterans and their mental or physical illnesses or injuries.

An aerial ambassador for the Canadian Armed Forces, the Snowbirds were set to perform in Moncton last year but were forced to cancel many dates on their cross-country schedule due to technical problems.

In addition to Moncton, the Snowbirds have several other Maritime stops this summer:

  • July 1, Canada Day, Halifax, NS
  • July 3, Peggy’s Cove, NS (a non-aerobatic display)
  • July 7-8, Cavendish, PEI (a non-aerobatic display)
  • July 9, Charlottetown, PEI
  • July 10, Cavendish, PEI (a non-aerobatic display)
