Two people have been arrested in connection with an assault and robbery that occurred in Fort Frances last weekend.

It happened at a home in the community.

Police say they learned of the incident two days later.

Their investigation led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both of Fort Frances.

Both face charges of robbery, forcible confinement, and possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

The man faces additional charges of pointing a firearm, uttering threats, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, failing to comply with a probation order, two counts of failing to comply with a release order and possession of a firearm or two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a probation order.

Both were held in custody pending a court appearance today.
