‘Climb the Light’ back at Cape Forchu

A unique experience is back for a third year at Yarmouth’s most famous landmark.

Site Manager Jennifer Wilkins says it aligns perfectly with the return of the CAT ferry next week.

“It’s such an added bonus, everyone just loved it. Last year we took up over 3,000 people, and we certainly expect to take up that many, if not more this year,” said Wilkins.

You can either sign up for the full tour, or ask about a quick climb on-site.

Wilkins says the fog alarm building next to the tower is getting a new accessible ground-level deck and rooftop lookoff.

“That gives people other options to enjoy the beautiful view, if they don’t want to climb all the way up in the tower.”

She advises visitors to be mindful of the construction in the area, and says the work should be completed later in the season.

The ‘Climb the Light’ experience will be offered until late September.
