Man charged after threatening people on ATV trail in South Shore

A man from Eagle Head has been charged after threatening to harm or kill people on an ATV trail.

It was before 7:30pm when Queen’s district RCMP responded to the incident on the trail between Brooklyn and Port Medway.

Police say the 30-year-old showed a firearm while threatening a group of people on ATV’s then left the area.

RCMP is asking the public for help finding the weapon.

The suspect has been arrested and will appear in Bridgewater court this afternoon facing several charges including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm when knowing possession is prohibited, weapons possession contrary to order and three counts of failing to comply with the conditions of court release orders related to previous firearms offences.
