The Yarmouth Mariners fell 7-2 to the Brooks Bandits in their opening game of the Centennial Cup in Manitoba.
The two-time defending champs from Alberta controlled much of the game, proving why they were ranked number 1 in the CJHL all season.
Nathan Kelly and Michael Marquez had the Mariner goals and Keegan Warren took the loss in net.
The Mariners get right back at it this afternoon against the Timmins Rock from Ontario.
Game two is complete! The @BrooksBandits down the @MarinersHockey to pick up their first win of the 2023 #CentennialCup
