A man was injured on the job in Dartmouth.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. Monday on Akerly Boulevard, as a piece of equipment fell off a truck onto a 40-year old man.

Halifax Police say the man was helping unload the truck.

He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Department of Labour is investigating the incident.
