New Brunswick RCMP teamed up with the Department of Justice and Public Safety to conduct a recent traffic enforcement blitz in Greater Moncton.

Mounties said the operation on Friday, April 28 resulted in 14 vehicles being towed and 132 tickets were issued under the provincial Motor Vehicle Act.

Of the tickets, 24 were issued for using hand-held electronic devices while driving and 20 were issued for not wearing a seatbelt.

In addition, police said four people were issued a court date for driving while suspended and one person was arrested for driving while prohibited.
