Big changes are coming to some schools in HRM as our population continues to grow. Schools have accepted over 1,000 students since this past September.

Effective this fall, 19 schools will be affected including Halifax West, J.L Ilsley, Millwood and Woodlawn High and their family of schools.

What will happen is some Junior Highs will start at grade 6, with some high schools beginning at grade 9 and some students will even have to attend a different school than planned.

A notice went out to families earlier this week.
