April colder than usual

The month of April was both colder and wetter than normal.

Environment Canada says our average daily mean temperature last month was 0.8 Celsius, almost three degrees colder than usual (3.6 Celsius)

In terms of precipitation, the Kenora area saw 38.1 millimeters last month, over five millimeters more than average (32.7 millimetres).

Because it was colder than normal, much of the precipitation fell in the form of snow, with 27.2 centimeters.

We got a less rain than normal, with 10.3 millimeters.
