Thunder Bay Fire Rescue says damage from a blaze to a townhouse unit is about 200 thousand dollars.

The Fire broke out Thursday night around 7:30 on Limbrick Street in Northwood.

The fire crews on the scene identified flames on the second floor of a central townhouse.

They quickly brought the fire under control, found it had spread to the attic area of the entire complex.

An aerial ladder was used to access to the roof and the blaze was quickly brought under control.

30 fire fighters with 7 pumper trucks and 2 aerial ladder trucks responded to the incident.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and there were no injuries to the occupants of the townhouse or fire fighters.
