A man has been charged after a shooting on Argyle Street.

It was it around 3:30am on July 10, 2022.

A fight broke out in the area and a suspect shot one of the men in the group.

The 22-year-old was hurt and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 31-year-old man is now facing a number of charges including:

• Robbery
• Possession of a prohibited firearm
• Possession of a firearm without a license
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm
• Carrying a concealed weapon
• Using a firearm in the commission of an offence
• Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
• Careless use of a firearm
• Aggravated assault
• Assault with a weapon
• Discharging a firearm
• Failing to comply with conditions of a court order.
• Possession of a firearm while prohibited.

He will appear in court at a later date.
