Nova Scotia Health will provide an update on the urgent treatment centre at the Victoria County Memorial Hospital.
The UTC has been operating for six months while the province works to restore 24/7 emergency service to the hospital. The UTC is open six day a week, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and requires patients to book appointments in advance for urgent but non-life-threatening issues. Sometimes, it can take up to two days for a patient to be seen.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. at the Inverary Inn’s MacAulay Conference Centre in Baddeck.
