Two women with Dryden connections have completed the Boston Marathon.

The marathon was run on Monday.

Alanna McLean did much of her training in Dryden and finished in a time of 2:58:32.

That was good enough for 218th place in the women’s division.

Dr. McLean trained in Dryden during medical school and is doing an anaesthetist residency through the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

Jonna Dale, who also works in the health care field and trained with McLean, finished in a time of 3:28:40, which was close to her personal best.
