A fire has destroyed a popular wedding venue in northwestern Ontario.

Ownership of the Laclu Landing’s Dance Hall on Webb’s Road have announced that a major fire over the weekend has totally destroyed the building.

“We appreciate the outpouring of support during this difficult time, and we respect you giving us time to work through this,” wrote the hall’s ownership, on social media.

No injuries were reported and the chief of the Pellatt United Fire Fighters says the cause is not suspicious.

Barry Bennett says as many as seven fires trucks responded along with six fire fighters from the McKenzie-Clearwater Bay Volunteer First Department, under their mutual response agreement.

Bennett estimates over  20 fire fighters were on the scene Friday night.

The fire broke  out about 8:30.
