Hydro Outages

Several hydro outages are on going in the region, primarily with Hydro One customers.

Approximately 1363  customers in the Gorham and Lappe areas are without power, Hydro One says crews are working in the area and are currently attempting to discover both the cause and establish a restoration time.

Meanwhile in the Shuniah area a number of smaller outages are taking place throughout the community:

  • Lakeshore Drive has fewer than 20 customers affected, the cause is under investigation and is expected to be resolved by 7:15 a.m.
  • Mickelson Drive and Bedford Place has fewer than 20 customers affected, the cause is under investigation and is expected to be resolved by 8:30 a.m.
  • Parts of Mckenzie Beach Road, McKenzie Beach Avenue and Amethyst Avenue has 113 customers affected, the cause is under investigation and is expected to be resolved by 8:30 a.m.
  • Scott Road and Birch Beach Road, has 106 customers affected, the cause is under investigation and is expected to be resolved by 8:30 a.m.
  • Several smaller outages which are affecting fewer than 20 customers along Birch Beach Road have also been reported, the cause is under investigation and is expected to be resolved beteween 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

No outages have been reported by Synergy North within the City of Thunder Bay.
