Emo is kicking off the spring season.

Emo Spring Fever Days go today and tomorrow.

It is a showcase of what the community has to offer, with the Emo Chamber of Commerce, the town, and the business community collaborating to make it happen.

Chamber spokesperson Paul Koomans says it has been a fixture.

“It’s been carrying on for many years now. It has its own momentum. The chamber members get together a month before, two months before, review a schedule of some sort, fill it in and then take it from there,” says Koomans.

There are sales, fundraising events, lawn and garden shows and boat shows today and tomorrow.

There are draws, including the giveaway of $1,000 in Emo Chamber gift certificates.

“It seems that’s a good kickoff for the spring summer for people to get out and check out what Emo has to offer in terms of the wide variety of businesses we have here and the opportunities we have for the consumer,” says Koomans.
