Saint John police are looking to identify a vehicle involved in an alleged hit and run uptown.

Police say a vehicle hit a black Volkswagen SUV parked on Duke Street around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday.

The vehicle continued down Duke Street before turning left onto Canterbury Street and right onto St. James Street.

“It is believed that there would be substantial damaged to the front end of the vehicle that struck the unattended vehicle,” police said in a news release on Thursday.

No one was in the SUV at the time of the collision and no injuries were reported.

Investigators are looking for witnesses, dashcam video, video of the incident, or anyone who recognizes the vehicle in the picture.
