The Antigonish bulldogs took a 2-1 series lead over the Capstone Colts in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League Finals last night.

Kyler Lohnes and Owen Flemming scored within two minutes of each other midway through the fist period to give the Bulldogs an early 2-0 lead. Colts forward Cody Garcin answered with a goal of his own later in the period, but Antigonish goaltender Cody MacEachern would not allow another shot past him as the bulldogs held on for a 2-1 victory.

Bulldogs captain Sam Grant picked up an assist in the game to bring his playoff-leading total to 11. Luke Baldwin, Darren waterman, and Chris Keyes also tallied assists in the contest.

Antigonish will look to secure a commanding 3-1 series lead when they travel to Shearwater for game four on Friday.

So far, neither team has lost at home.
