On April 29th, a second area code will be introduced in the province.
New Brunswick will add 428 to coexist with the current 506 area code.
But that new area code will not be given out until 506 numbers are depleted.
Also, starting April 15, 10-digit dialing for all local calls in New Brunswick becomes mandatory, which ends the three-month transition period.
Local calls dialed with seven digits will no longer be completed.
