The Halifax Convention Centre is holding a welcome weekend event this Saturday, to celebrate its fifth anniversary.

The community is invited to come out and enjoy the festivities including live music from local artists Isabella Samson, Behrooz Mihankhah, and Braden Lam.

There will also be a vendor’s market featuring displays from Craft Nova Scotia, Taste of Nova Scotia, the Halifax Thunderbirds, the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, Java Blend, and 24 Carrots Bakery.

Door prizes will be offered by the Downtown Halifax Business Commission and people can enter a draw for a chance to win two tickets to Kevin Hart live at the Scotiabank Centre, a Thunderbirds game, or the Tattoo festival.

The Halifax Convention Centre is located at 1650 Argyle Street, and the event is being held from 12 until 3 p.m. Admission to the event is free.
