An NHL legend is coming to Yarmouth.

Maple Leaf great Darryl Sittler will be at Mariners Centre on May 11th, to help raise money for the Meadowfields School playground.

There will be a VIP dinner and meet and greet, followed by an ‘In Conversation With’ series for the general public in Arena 1.

Sittler will share details about his life on and off the ice.

“Talk a little bit about leadership, and some of the experiences I’ve had away from the game that left an impact on my life that might be of interest to people there, and maybe change their lives,” said Sittler.

The Hockey Hall of Famer is looking forward to the event.

“Anytime I get an opportunity like this to help out, and meet a few Leafs fans and hockey fans, I enjoy it. It’s going to be well worth the trip to Yarmouth.”

One of the best to wear the ‘Blue and White’, Sittler is remembered for his league-record 10 point game, and his OT winner at the Canada Cup in 1976.

Ticket information is available on the Mariners Centre website.

It’s being hosted by Mayer-Murphy Events.
