The Yarmouth Mariners are the MHL Eastlink South Division champions.

They defeated the Truro Bearcats 5-2 in Game 4 of their division final series, completing a four-game sweep.

Andrew Stuckless scored twice, as the Mariners put up three goals in the second period to take 4-2 advantage.

Reilly Mayne scored his team leading seventh goal of the playoffs, Franco Canevari and Ryan Semple also lit the lamp. Alex Roode had two assists.

Keegan Warren got the win in goal with 27 saves.

Yarmouth are a perfect 8-0 in the 2023 playoffs and haven’t lost a game since February 27th.

It’s the third appearance in the MHL Cup Final for Yarmouth since 2018.

The Mariners await their opponent in the league championship series, it will be the Edmundston Blizzard or the Summerside Western Capitals.

Edmundston leads their division final series 2-0, with Game 3 in Summerside on Sunday.
