Man hits tenant with wooden object after noise complaint

A man hit a tenant with a wooden object after a noise complaint in Halifax.

Around 8:30pm Monday night on Vimy Avenue the man went into the tenant’s apartment after they complained about the noise coming from his apartment.

He assaulted him with the object then ran from the building.

The 30-year-old was arrested and will be in court today.

The charges include:

  • Assaulting a peace officer (x2)
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Resist arrest
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
  • Failing to comply with a release order
  • Uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death
