A 72-year-old Moncton man reported missing two weeks ago has been found dead in the Sussex area.

The RCMP says Brian Lewis was last seen on Park Street on March 18 and his red Dodge Caravan was located in Searsville near Sussex.

Police said at the time there was concern for his well-being.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Mounties said Lewis’s body was located in Searsville near Sussex.

“An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the man’s exact cause of death,” said Cpl. Nicholas Haley of the Sussex RCMP in a statement.

“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and community at this time.”
