The MP for West Nova says life will get more expensive for Canadians.

Conservative Chris d’Entremont is reacting to the federal budget.

He says things like the carbon tax and price of groceries will continue to affect families.

“The regular Canadians that work hard and try to save money and take care of their families. Not much help is there for them in this year’s budget at all,” said d’Entremont.

d’Entremont points to the grocery rebate, and that it should have been in the form of a tax cut, giving a break to farmers and food producers.

He also wonders what the full budget is for small craft harbours in his riding, and what is funding like for the larger ports, including for the Yarmouth International Ferry Terminal.

Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre says his party will vote down the budget, but the NDP are supporting it, meaning an election won’t be triggered.
