The first ever 80km ATV Awareness Ride is happening in Sherbrooke, N.S. next Saturday, April 8th.

It’s in support of the Kidney Foundation of Canada and will be at the St. Mary’s Recplex.

We spoke to Ashley, who’s 14-year-old son Brooks is waiting on a new kidney and goes to the IWK three times a week.

“Brooks will have such a better quality of life once, this new kidney comes, it will be completely life changing for him,” she said.

She says Brooks loves making people laugh despite his hardships.

The event hopes to spark conversation around Kidney Disease and raise awareness.
