RCMP use K-9 Unit to track break-in suspect

By Tim Davidson Mar 23, 2023 | 12:31 PM

A 41 year old Winnipeg man has been arrested following a series of break-ins in the Prawda area earlier this month.

The Falcon Lake and Lac du Bonnet RCMP received a number of complaints about the break-ins.

Police finally arrested the suspect with the help of a K-9 unit and a drone near the Birch River Road in the Rural Municipality of Reynolds.

The Mounties says Michael John Shindruk has been charged with seven counts of break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime and resisting arrest.

Officers say because the bush was so dense, it took an hour and a half to walk the suspect to the road.
