One person has died after a single-vehicle collision near Boulevard Lake.

Emergency services were dispatched to Lyon Blvd and Rita St around 2:30 am on Thursday after getting reports that a car had hit a tree.

The passenger who’s only been identified as a woman died from her injuries.

A 35 year old man who was the driver of the car has been arrested and charges are pending.

Police indicate that the roads associated with the collision are closed, and are asking the public to avoid the area until further notice.
