The warmer weather has returned and the snow is melting which is why Codiac RCMP has already deployed its bicycle patrol team for the season.

During a presentation to Moncton City Council on Monday, Superintendent Ben Jolette said the bikes were launched on St. George Street on March 12.

“This is where we’re looking for the general public to speak to us and tell us problem areas that they may see and where there’s a perceived lack of safety and security,” noted Jolette.

“Where there are safety and security concerns, please call us and give us suggestions because besides that, we’re going to go where we usually go where people are bringing up concerns.”

Jolette added the bicycle team will be on patrol on a daily basis.
