“Any violent incident in a school is concerning for students, staff and families. Situations like the one that took place today at C.P. Allen High School are very troubling. My heart goes out to the school community, those physically injured, as well as those who experienced this unfortunate event at school.” said Education Minister Becky Druhan.

A spokesperson with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education told us in an email a crisis team will be at CPA on Tuesday to understand how to best support students.

“School psychologists, school social workers and school counsellors will be available at the school over the coming days to provide individual and small group supports to students who would like to connect with them.” said Lindsey Bunin.
