A 32 year old man from Thunder Bay is facing more charges after a run-in with the Thunder Bay Police Service at the end of February.

Initially charged with 22 offences including dangerous operation of a vehicle, flight from a Peace Officer and unlawfully in a dwelling, investigators have added on another six charges.

The suspect was spotted driving a stolen vehicle on Feb. 27., while that vehicle was located empty shortly after, officers saw him again in a stolen SUV later the same day and got into an accident. The man ran and police released the K9 Unit to help locate him.

After entering a home unwelcomed, the suspect tried to outrun the K9 Police dog and assault the canine.

Arrested and charged, the local man has been remanded into custody until a future court date.
