The Yarmouth Mariners won their final road game of the regular season last night.
They beat the Pictou County Crushers 4-3 for their 40th victory of the season.
It’s only the second time the Mariners have won 40 games in a single season, joining the 2007/08 squad.
Michael Marquez had two goals after Yarmouth went down 2-0 in the first period.
Reilly Mayne and Ryan Semple scored, and Keegan Warren made 23 stops for the win.
Yarmouth will finish the season with the best win percentage in franchise history.
The Mariners host the Crushers Saturday night in their final regular season home game.
The teams could also meet in the first round of the MHL Playoffs, which begin next weekend.
