A check on a vehicle on the side of the road has led to several charges against an Atikokan woman.

OPP came across the vehicle on Highway 11B last Sunday afternoon at around 2 p.m.

Police arrested the 57-year-old for impaired driving.

During their investigation, it was found the vehicle had been reported stolen, and the driver wasn’t licensed.

The woman was charged with eight Criminal Code and Provincial Offences charges, including theft of a motor vehicle, driving with no licence, and having liquor and cannabis readily available, along with the impaired driving charges.

She will be in an Atikokan courtroom to answer to the charges at the end of April.
